RJ Warren was appointed Head Cheer Coach in January 2009.  RJ started his Cheerleading career in Montezuma, a small town in western Kansas. Upon graduation he was recruited to Coffeyville Community College on a cheer scholarship which gave him the opportunity to participate in three trips to Orlando Fl. for the UCA national competition in the large co-ed division. While at CCC, RJ was involved in judging cheer tryouts, leading camps, and working with UCA staff throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. RJ has a B.S. in Biology from Pittsburg State University, an A.S. from Coffeyville Community College, and has over six years cheer experience. Coach Warren has high expectations in continuing and expanding the cheer program and adding national titles to its already existing accomplishments.

Lavon Leake will be in her first year as an assistant coach for Red Raven Cheer in 2009-2010.  Lavon started her cheerleading career at Iola (Kansas) High School.  Throughout high school, she received two NCA All-American titles as well as a UCA All-Star title.  After high school, she attended Coffeyville Community College and cheered for two years on the Red Raven cheer team.  While at Coffeyville, she attended two national championship competitions with the large co-ed team.  Those teams achieved fifth and sixth place rankings at the national championship.  She also judged many tryouts and competitions while at Coffeyville.  Following graduation at Coffeyville, Lavon transferred to Pittsburg State University where she cheered.  After college, Lavon moved to Kentucky and she coached at an All-Star gym, helping the team earn third place in competition.  In 2008-2009, Lavon was the Assistant Cheer Coach at Neosho County Community College.  Lavon is excited about once again joining the Ravens’ team and to help continue their success as an award-winning cheer squad.
