Raven runners compete in national meet
The Red Raven cross country teams competed in the NJCAA National Cross Country Meet in Peoria, Ill. on Nov. 14. The Raven men finished in 26th place while the women placed 28th. [more]
Raven women’s and men’s cross country teams both finish third in conference at region meet
The Region 6 Cross Country Meet was held on Saturday, October 24, in Overland Park, Kansas. The Raven women placed third in the Jayhawk East standings and fifth in the Region 6 standings. The Raven men placed third in the Jayhawk East standings and eighth overall in Region 6. [more]
Teuscher signs with Missouri Southern
Septembra Teuscher, a sophomore from Paola, Kansas, recently signed a track letter-of-intent with Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. Teuscher is a two-time All-American in the javelin. [more]
Cannon signs with Purdue
Sophomore jumper Rashad Cannon will continue his career after Coffeyville with a jump to the Big Ten Conference. Cannon will compete next season for Purdue University after signing a letter-of-intent with the Boilermakers.
“It’s a good fit for me,” said Cannon who was also recruited by Iowa and North Carolina. “They have the type of coaches I’m looking for and it’s a great, prestigious school.” [more]
Simpson signs with Missouri Southern
When Brandy Simpson arrived at Coffeyville Community College in the fall of 2007,
she possessed good athletic skills, but not a master of any one event.
“She was good in a number of events, but not really great at any one,” said Head Track Coach Craig Perry. So the decision was made to try Simpson at the multi-events, and as the saying goes, the rest is history. [more]
