The 4th Annual Red Raven Holiday at Coffeyville Community College (CCC) was a huge success as nearly 1,000 visitors roamed the campus and celebrated the kick-off to the holiday season.  For children, the thousands of lights and activities were magical.  From live reindeer, Christmas ponies and the living Nativity scene to the hayrack ride, kiddie train, carnival games, face painting, smores, Gingerbread cookie decorating, Santa and more, there was something fun for all ages.

College teams and organizations decorated areas throughout the main part of campus.  The technical programs in Coffeyville brought to life a warm tropical holiday while the softball team took advantage of the red fountain for its own version of a sunny celebration.  The track team challenged youth to a jump contest while the adult education center passed out free apple cider.

The theatre production of “A Christmas Play” had a full house at both performances.  The Holiday started as a way to gather all organizations and teams at CCC into one event so those college students could get to know each other during a fun activity.  The event has turned into a popular community program for “kids” of all ages.  Most of the activities were free to participants.
